What is included in the cost of the trip?

We offer all inclusive guide trips, meaning there are no hidden fees. Our guide trips include equipment rental (if necessary),rods, flies, leaders, etc. as well as transportation to and from the river. Lunch and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided for full day trips. If you have any dietary concerns please let us know at the time of booking. The only things not included in the cost of the trip will be your Montana fishing license and gratuity for your guide.

What should I bring on my trip?

Montana is known for its spontaneous weather so we recommend bringing a rain jacket, extra layer, polarized sunglasses, sunscreen, brimmed hat and camera. We recommend using a 5 or 6 weight fly rod with floating line. Don’t worry if you do not have fishing equipment, we are a full service outfitter and all of our guides will have rods/reels and terminal tackle for you to use.

Where do I buy my fishing license?

We try to arrange meeting spots at local fly shops so you can get a fishing license and any last minute provisions before your day on the water, however you may purchase your fishing license online HERE.

How do I make sure I have a great day on the water?

Communicating with your guide in the morning will be a great way to start. We like to know your experience level, fishing preferences, and what your expectations are so that we can make it the best day possible for you. Be sure to let your guide know if you need to be off the water by a certain time so that they can plan an appropriate length float for the timeframe.

Where do I meet my guide?

We typically try to meet at a locally owned fly shop but we can arrange pick ups or alternate locations.

What is an appropriate tip for my guide?

$120 is an average tip for our hard working guides. This is an important part of our guides income and a way for you to thank them for going the extra mile.

We recommend staying in the Bozeman area, Bozeman offers many different lodging options as well as dining and nightlife. We would be happy to help you arrange lodging for your trip, just give us a call!
